Welcare Hospital celebrates its 12th Anniversary

Twelve years ago - on May 27, 1998 – Welcare Hospital opened its doors as a 90 bed medical facility with a mission to enhance patients’ quality of life by providing high standard, cost efficient, multi-disciplinary medical services delivered with a personal touch.  Since then it has grown to a 110-bed center having treated more than 350,528 patients, including the delivery of more than 11,044 babies.

During the past 12 years the hospital became one of Dubai’s busiest maternity centres, consisting of 4 delivery rooms and 9 Neonatal Intensive Care beds, and achieved a number of milestones such as:

• The first private hospital in the U.A.E. to win the Dubai Quality Appreciation Program
• A high-tech laboratory designed as a regional referral centre, covering hematology, serology, hormone assays, immunochemistry, biochemistry and microbiology.
• One of the best equipped Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) in Dubai which can manage premature babies, infants of diabetic mothers, neonatal jaundice, neonatal infections, respiratory distress and anemia.
   

From the compassionate care and service provided to millions of people, to supporting major events such as the Dubai Rugby Sevens and Dubai Tennis Championships, Welcare Hospital plays an indispensable role in the region.

During the past decade, Welcare Hospital has emerged as a renowned clinical facility, and as we celebrate our past, we also focus on improving on our achievements and continue to strive towards providing best practices in healthcare.
